Working together

Our work in the community is something we believe in and which we want to do well.

 

 
We do not do it for financial gain, and the community consists primarily of unpaid volunteers. In order to guarantee the quality and continuity of the social work, the co-ordination of the medical first-aid centre, the supervision of residents and the co-ordination of the technical services, some paid positions have been established. All other volunteers are either unpaid or receive only an expense allowance.

Subsidy and gifts

Oudezijds 100 receives a subsidy from the Municipality of Amsterdam for the social work activities. Most of the members of the community have a job and thus are able to support themselves financially. For our other activities – such as the reception, Kruispost and the assisted living - we are dependent on donations.
